Why is Obama so hung up on the provision in the new spy legislation giving telecom?

companies immunity from prosecution?

He says he will vote in favor of the legislation, but wants to have this provision eleimainated?

What is this guys problem?|||Obama's biggest problem would be his wife|||Because he knows it is being used to blackmail political opponents, not look for terrorists.

Notice Bush has found no terrorists at all in the past 7 years except a few idiots who couldn't upset a picnic if they tried?

The good news is in 138 days we get to use it against the oil corps and Cheney's personal cell phone to get all the evidence we need to put these guys into prison for life and there's nothing they can do to stop it.

They attacked America on 9/11. not us. They are the ones going down hard.

COME ON 138 DAYS!|||Giving Immunity to the Telecoms, allows this sort of illegal problem to occur again. What happened was illegal.

The immunity also means immunity to Bush and all politicians involved, since we won't be able to investigate the issue, through the telecoms.|||Just my thought is if you don't want some 1 knowing your doing something wrong than don't use the airways%26gt;They can check all they want if it stops 1 attack or strike%26gt;But I guess it's better to sit and talk %26amp; do nothing%26gt;But whine about our rights%26gt;we have That are protecting use%26gt;while destroying us%26gt;|||Because he doesn't want companies who violated the law to get a pass. In other words he's a law and order candidate. Imagine that.

The guys "problem" is that he has actually read the US constitution.|||Obama is a socialist and a friend to the terrorist. He wants to support nothing that will get his buddies busted.|||Hmm. Maybe he thinks giving them carte blanche to violate our privacy rights is a bad idea...

Democrats 2008|||He is trying to play both sides of the fence for the sake of gaining votes.
