Why is it difficult to pass the health care legislation?

What are the factors in our current political climate that make it difficult to pass health care legislation?|||Polarization. People have always held different views but, recently, the public (and hence, Congress) have moved further from the center and close to entirely opposite sides ot the spectrum on many issues. Health care is just one of many of those issues.|||Because it's not about health CARE. It's about health INSURANCE.

And the American People are, (justifiably), loath to turn over 1/6 of the economy to the United States Government.

They've already proven, for decades, that they are completely incapable of running ANY program effectively OR efficiently. And they've certainly never been able to bring a program in on budget.

This massive take-over of the health insurance industry will be no different. It will cripple the economy for generations to come.|||We the people!
